His name is Red. In the early 1990s, he had dreams of taking his natural talent of G-Funk and California Soul, creating what most now hear as the artificial use of “Auto-Tune.” He goes on to incorporate it with Beat-Boxing, creating the most authentic, original sound you’ve possibly ever heard. After being turned down from Capitol Records after an impromptu audition, his life slowly began to spiral down. But dreams stay alive as long as the drive is in gear… In 2008, Red was discovered behind an Art & Design Gallery, homeless in the Bay Area, performing for a camera that soon transferred onto YouTube, creating an instant phenomenon. This is my personal favorite mix of the song… THE ORIGINAL! I’ve heard the “new” versions, but they just don’t quite give the complete feeling as the original with ONLY him… it’s more authentic, and his talent is undeniable…
